John W. Valle has had the honor of serving the residents of York Township for over 15 years since first becoming elected York Township Supervisor in April of 2005. He has been a resident of York Township for over 42 years and has always been an active leader in his community, from being an Alderman in Oakbrook Terrace for 12 years to the creator of “Someone Special”, a program designed for people with disabilities in DuPage County.

Safety has always been an important subject in John’s eyes and through the years as Supervisor he has directed his attention to Township safety, installing ADA mobility doors, 3 AED machines, and having staff complete CPR training. He also makes a point to speak about safety in his column periodically in the Senior Sun Newsletter as well as making sure we include safety as a topic in various seminars throughout the year.

Since the beginning of John’s very first term he has directed his focus on reorganizing Township administration, trimming expenses and reducing non-essential staff positions. John has proven to be fiscally responsible, always striving for efficiency of operation and use of resources in order to keep costs down while continuing to provide quality service, keeping York Township running on a balanced budget with no debt. He continues to make York Township flourish, improving the quality of life for the residents of York Township.
