Notice COVID-19 Coronavirus
Monday March 9, 2020 Governor JB Pritzker declared a state of emergency based on new guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and evidence emerging across other countries and throughout the United States.
As a result, Governor JB Pritzker and the Illinois Department on Aging has issued the immediate suspension of all congregate dining as well as all social activities conducted in group settings.
Our Congregate Dining Program and all Senior Center activities, trips, and seminars have been suspended until further notice. However, York Township and The DuPage Senior Citizens Council (DSCC) will continue to monitor and work with our local Health Department as they implement the coordinated State and National response to COVID-19.
The DuPage Senior Citizens Council’s Meals on Wheels, Well-Being Checks, Friendly Visits, Minor Home Repairs, Pet Care & Food Assistance all provided by the DSCC will also continue at this time.
We ask that if you or someone you know is sick, especially with the symptoms displayed by COVID-19, please stay home and help keep this virus under control. Make sure you cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze, wash your hands regularly, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, try to clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
