York Township Food Pantry

York Township operates an on-site, client-choice Food Pantry for individuals and families in need. The pantry offers both perishable and non-perishable items, allowing clients to select the foods that best meet their household needs.

Clients may visit the pantry once every two weeks. Service is provided on a first-come, first-served basis; however, it is recommended that you arrive by 10:45 a.m. to ensure service. The Township provides bags for your convenience.

The York Township Food Pantry is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for residents in need of food assistance.

Additional pantry hours include:

  • First Saturday of each month: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
  • Second and Fourth Monday of each month: 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Please note that pantry hours are subject to change due to holidays or operational needs.

Qualification

To qualify to use the pantry, clients must complete an application; provide proof of residence in York Township (current lease or utility bill).
Income eligibility follows Illinois Department of Human Services guidelines (below).
