708 Mental Health Board

What is the York Township 708 Mental Health Board?

The York Township 708 Mental Health Board is a local governmental body established under Illinois’ Community Mental Health Act. It is funded through a voter-approved property tax to support mental health, developmental disability, and substance use services for York Township residents.

The Board’s primary role is to identify community needs, develop a plan to address those needs, and provide funding to qualified local agencies that deliver essential services. The Board does not provide direct services; instead, it partners with community organizations to ensure residents have access to high-quality care and support.

Through strategic funding and oversight, the York Township 708 Mental Health Board works to improve access to services, promote early intervention, and enhance the overall well-being of individuals and families in our community.
