York Township relies on the generosity of our community to support key programs such as our Food Pantry and Senior Dining & Events. Volunteers play a vital role in helping our neighbors, and we provide training and support to every volunteer.

Volunteer Opportunities
Food Pantry Assistant
8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Help clients while they shop, retrieve meat and frozen items, restock pantry shelves between clients, and update the product availability board.
Food Pick-Up Driver
Mornings
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Volunteers drive to various locations to pick up donations for the Food Pantry.
Pantry Restock
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Restock pantry shelves and refrigerators after morning distribution. Ensure items in the outdoor fridge/freezer are available inside, update the meat/frozen options board, and help keep the pantry clean and organized.
Food Truck Delivery (2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month)
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Assist with unloading and organizing food delivered from the food bank.
Dining Assistant
10:45 AM – 12:30 PM
Support Senior Dining by collecting lunch payments, handing out number tags, calling numbers for lunch, and organizing tags afterward.
Popcorn Tuesdays
10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Pop and bag popcorn for Free Movie Tuesdays at the Senior Center.
Senior Center Assistant
Flexible times
Help with answering phones, rolling silverware, and other general office and senior center support tasks.
