As a full-time professional assessor and Certified Illinois Assessing Officer (CIAO), I bring 15 years of assessing experience in DuPage County to this role. I am committed to implementing immediate improvements to better serve our community.

Maximizing Taxpayer Savings: Helping residents navigate and successfully apply for all eligible property tax exemptions.

Modernizing Operations: Offering advanced online tools and accessible resources for a seamless user experience.

Our Commitment to Service

We understand that property taxes can be confusing. Our certified staff, who live and work in this community, are dedicated to maintaining accurate data on the Township’s 46,000+ parcels and will work diligently to address every inquiry as quickly as possible.

Duties of the Assessor

The York Township Assessor’s Office is statutorily charged with estimating the fair market value for over 46,000 parcels of property. By law, each property is assessed at one-third of its market value. These assessments form the foundation of the property tax system, ensuring that the tax burden is distributed equitably among residents and businesses to support local taxing bodies.

The Assessor’s Office can also provide additional information on the many facets of the assessment cycle, appeal process, and exemptions. Residents are welcome to call, use our online assessment inquiry form or stop by to discuss their assessment concerns.
