York Township operates an on-site, client choice Food Pantry for individuals and families in need. The pantry stores both perishable and non-perishable items. Pantry clients can use the pantry once a month. Pantry operates on a first come first serve basis, however it is recommended that you arrive no later than 10:45 a.m. to guarantee service. The Township provides bags for you to shop.

Qualifications
To qualify to use the pantry, clients must complete an application; provide proof of residence in York Township (current lease or utility bill).
Income eligibility follows Illinois Department of Human Services guidelines (below).
DHS Maximum Monthly Gross Income to qualify for food pantry and for receipt of USDA Commodities for Fiscal Year 2022 (July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023)
