Senior Events

The Senior Center offers a wide range of programs and services designed to enrich the lives of residents ages 55 and older. Through activities that promote independence, wellness, and social connection, we help seniors stay active, engaged, and healthy within the community.

From daily activities and in-house events to group outings and special celebrations, there are opportunities for everyone to get involved. Our staff also provides assistance with applications and access to supportive services when needed.

St. Charles Paddlewheel Lunch Cruise

Enjoy a relaxing and scenic afternoon aboard the St. Charles Paddlewheel Riverboats as we cruise along the beautiful Fox River. Departing from Pottawatomie Park, this private charter lunch cruise offers a charming, nostalgic experience with the rustic feel of the Mark Twain era. Guests can take in the views from the open-air upper deck or relax inside the enclosed lower deck, which provides comfort in cooler or rainy weather. Along the way, you may spot local wildlife such as eagles, herons, and turtles, while also enjoying views of historic sites and the natural beauty of the river.

A private catered lunch will be served on board, featuring a delicious menu of salad, mostaccioli, Italian beef, giardiniera, sweet peppers, French bread, garlic bread, and condiments. After the approximately two-hour cruise, we will have time to explore the charming antique shops and boutiques in downtown St. Charles before returning to the township. Join us for a fun-filled afternoon featuring the Patty Waszak Variety Show at White Fence Farm! Patty Waszak is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, comedian, motivational speaker, and all-around entertainer whose smooth vocal style, lively personality, and talent on more than thirty musical instruments have made her a crowd favorite. Guests will enjoy her entertaining variety show along with a delicious luncheon at the beloved White Fence Farm.
