General Dates to Know
January
All properties are assessed as of January 1st of the tax year.
April
Senior Citizen Assessment Freeze applications and status cards for the Senior exemption are mailed by the Supervisor of Assessments Office.
June
First installment of the property tax bill is due.
September
Second installment of the property tax bill is due.
Late Fall
Assessment revisions must be completed by November 15th of the current assessment year. Change of assessment letters are mailed and published for all parcels that show a change in the total assessment from the prior year. During a General Reassessment year, every four (4) years, notices are mailed and published for ALL parcels whether or not a change occurred in the total assessment. Taxpayers have 30 days from the date of publication to file an appeal of their assessment for the current year.
